Brains! How to Brainfarm

Sorry Survivors!
Brain-farming sounds
so much cooler
than food farming!

While you are doing the campaign, you will probably have more brains than you know what to do with.

Once you have finished the campaign, you will probably find your brain stocks start to dwindle. Research costs will also sky-rocket. At this point, you will need to brain-farm.

How do you brain farm? Basically you get brains from all the campaign cities, so you replay them. You can replay them through normal manual fights or through quick fights (or a mixture).

Different people have different ways of brain-farming. Here are some ways you can brain-farm.

1) San Francisco (Hard)
San Francisco (Hard) is full of snipers. Only snipers. Your drones can kill these snipers. Get the idea?

A level one Reanimator and borrowed Brute work ok too
Not bad for a level one Reanimator! (I didn't use flare)

This is a very easy level to complete. If you borrow a reanimator, you can play it all day. It is even easier if you have a reasonably good flare. It costs 650 brains to play and if you get all three rewards, you'll get 2842 brains, a profit of 2192 brains. (I do most of the "Mutate 20 sprinter" type of daily hunts in San Francisco as you can use a bunch of low level units of that type and usually complete the daily hunt in 1-3 fights).

2) Go insane
If you have to level a bunch of units to do it, the Insane campaign is probably not worth it DNA-wise. However, it is fun to do new maps and you can borrow units from me (I have all of them at the correct levels). It is also great for getting brains and when you've completed an Insane level you can play it as many times as you want for a good haul of brains.

3) Borrow some Punks (or a Dreadnought) and visit Lima Hard
If you are level 30 or over, level 30 punks or Dreadnought should be able to help you take out Lima on Hard - Flare will help you deal with the Special Ops (black snipers). Just put what you want in your borrow request.
Aww! Look at the little guys go!
Top marks, Punks!

The cost of Lima Hard is 940 brains and you'll get 4082 brains with all three rewards, which leaves you with 3142 brains.

4) Quickfight your spare units
After exhausting all your good units, quickfight the rest for some easy brains. If nothing else, you should be able to manage Vancouver easy.

5) Make a quick-fight army
The best thing you can spend your coins on in WZ is unlocking your evolving stations. They will allow you to develop several teams so you can do well on raids and your quickfight army so you can quickfight brainfarm.

You can level your army in a variety of ways. I mostly use rare units (with some extra uncommons: puddlers and sprayers) and level to 10. Other people level to 9, or have a mixture of levels (e.g., 9 and 16) or only level epics. I also have at least three of all units at level 10 for daily hunts, but that is mostly me being lazy and wanting to do any daily hunt in one fight if I can ;-)! )

I have a *fairly substantial* quickfight army (as well as a number of higher levels). When I need brains, I normally use all my units to quickfight, and do Manila Normal, Vancouver Hard, then San Francisco Hard. (I get pretty close to 100K of brains when I do this, so I definitely consider it worth the investment!)
